From what I see here, it looks like this:

Non-resident archery Deer permit (antlerless only) $15.50

Looks like I would probably go antlerless only if I came up there. either that or wait a while and make it a "dream trip" to get a good buck. But I'm not as thrilled with antlers as I am the meat.

Some buddies and I have looked into Illinois and Ohio as a place to bow hunt the first or second week in November. You are right, decoding the wildlife website is not easy.

Don, depending on where you want to hunt, make it the 2nd week if at all possible. closer to the start of the rut. normally, they'll be starting the chasing by this time. at least the past few years have been that way.

Thanks for the info, we are still looking at different options. I have only been on one bow only hunt - Montana for elk in 2006; strike out on that one. Did pass on a small bull on the third day and would have taken a cow the last evening but no luck.

hey TLC! I didn't see it in the manual. do we have to buy individual tags for each deer, too? Or does the license include the tags we need?
