I'm a moon hater, around here it seems the deer move at night and midday when the moon is full. I usually see more activity mornings and evenings when the moon isn't as prominent, and that works better for my work schedule. However I love a full moon and a couple inches of snow when it comes to coyote huntng, we can shoot them at night here!

don't know all the scientific stuff about this, but here are the basics of moon movement. when the moon, whether it be a full, 1st 1/4, half, or 3rd 1/4, when it hits its apex, straight overhead, thats when the deer(animals and fish)are doing the majority of their movement. also remember that there is movement for a short time before and after it hits the apex. the next MAJOR movement will be 12 1/2 hours later. this cycle continues every day. NOW, there is nothing cast in stone that this is hard and true by any means.
did a little self experiment one year while fishing. took the times they listed for the major feeding times and made sure I was fishing. the fishing always picked up at the time listed(or real close)and ended when they said it would start slowing down. haven't been able to try this for an entire season on deer, but have seen it come close a few times.

if i didn't work ., the moon would work for me ., a/ctim is right ., i do see less activity during eve, and morning ., but I'm at work during the day , and depends where the positioning of the moon is , them deer are moving when I'm not there., i do use the moon phase allot in my hunting and fishing ., i have documented ALLOT from new moon to full., and people would be surprised by the deer and fish activity during daylight hours.,

I too am a full moon hater!! It seems to screw up turkey hunting for me as well. I've been out of state and heard turkeys gobble all night long during full moon, then the morning comes and they shut up.

Hate full moons. Most of the time they move all night and bed early.

I got my buck on the morning after a full moon. At least I think it was.
