Old tapes?

Do you only record once or do you tape over old stuff? I only use it once. I was just wondering if it affects the quality if you would tape over.

what firediver said. but it doesn't hurt the quality at all. always transfer my tapes to DVD's, and then erase the original. buy new tapes every couple years or so, depending on how much taping I do.

For MINI DV? where do you buy them at? What brand?

I get mine on ebay. They are Sony and they are pretty cheap. I bought alot of 50 for I think around $100 bucks. I think firediver gets his from the same seller.

I've thought about doing it that way, just had heard that some of the tapes on ebay might be imports and different specs than tapes for sale here. Do you have the username for the guy you buy them from?
