I think there is a 12 step program for addictions like ours. I know that there is a proven 9 step program. It is tough, but it will get you through until the next hunting season.
It goes something like this:
1) February
2) March
3)April
4) May
5)June
6)July
7)August
8)Sept
and finally step number 9, when your almost totally healed from this addiction, you fall off the wagon and start back with October.

The first step in rehab is admitting you have a problem!
I admit...I have a serious problem. I dream of hunting 24/7
I actually had a dream a few weeks ago that I was bowhunting for hogs at the Holiday Inn...
instead of the little TV that is often perched up in a hotel room's corner, it was my treestand...the maid left a pile of corn in the middle of the floor, and talk about a narrow shooting lane..oh my...thankfully the room's door was left open so I could pick off any hogs that walked by. Yep, I need therapy

That reminds me of when Holly woke me up. She was yelling that big buck are jumping through the window! I grabbed my bow but didnt see any!

the disturbing part is, I actually had that dream. Do you know how hard it is to hunt when your a guest at the Holiday Inn..
