Question

Why is the activity here so low? Maybe the hosts need to visit and participate more to jump-start this again?

I've been rather busy. I was out of work for over a year, and now that I'm back to work (over two years now), I don't get much time to get online. My commute is almost 2 hours each way, and I've been working a lot of overtime as well. Some at work, and some via VPN at home.

That being said, who's ready for deer season? Just a little over a month away now.

I'm getting ready for my moose hunts first.

Trying with the crossbow between the 15th of september and Oct. 5, then going to another spot on the 15th and spending a week with the rifle.

That will be followed by a week with the bow for whitetails, and then my traditional two week rifle hunt.

After that I'm mixing in the odd day with crossbow and muzzle loader hunts if I still have an open tag,

It's great to be retired!

Yes, by looking at the age of the last posts in many parts of the forum here, it looks like Zombies are here and the living have moved on. So sad.

You know I'm visiting here every day and see visitors come and go but no members. Not even anyone form the posse posts their hunts or plans. Moved on is what I'm presuming.

Amazing how much effort it takes to maintain a forum properly and this isn't the only one that I've seen come to a crawl in the last year.

Are Ralph, Vicki and all the other bigwigs just letting this place die a slow and painful death. If you look down the list of forums, most haven't had a single post since March or April. I had a stroke in February and spent the rest of the spring in rehab and the summer working as a contractor on a summer job for the military. Now, I'm back at home, trying to sell my piece of heaven, and wondering what the good Lord is going to throw at me next.

There were a good bunch of people on here and I wish they'd come back. This site had some class the others I pop in on don't.

I've been away too. Way to many sites and forums to visit, plus most folks are on facebook. All the best for a great hunting season this year.
