I just was wondering if anyone here uses a thumb style release? If so what make and model are you using? How long have you been using one and do use it for hunting?

I have a Carter's Chocolate Addiction. It is awesome. The amount of micro adjustment you can make with it is amazing. High quality release, for sure. I still use a strapped trigger release for hunting. Just haven't gotten enough practice in where it is second nature to find my anchor point. Need longer D-loop for the carter, or change my anchor point. Attachment 1743 |

I use a thumb release for all my archery shooting including hunting. I have been using it for about 5 years and this is my 3rd hunting season to use it. I just got to punchy with a finger release. I find a shoot way better with the thumb trigger release.

I only use hand held releases. For 3D and indoors I use a Carter Evolotion + ( 3 finger) which is a BT release (no trigger) which is activated with increased resistance. For hunting I use a Carter Insatiable (4 finger) which is a thumb trigger release. I shoot the thumb trigger release using back tension as well.
