Nice pics!! The last time I seen a sky like that last pic, was when I lived out in Kansas. It was about a half hour after a tornado went about 1/4-1/2 mile south of the town I lived in. Really erie!!!

You can keep them storms out there! I am scared to death of storms. When I was little I was in a storm at the river and tree fell in on the cabin I was in about 5 feet from us. Now I can't hide under the kitchen table lol, I'll scare the kids

Idk, I've always wanted to see a tornado. Lived in Ks for 3-4yrs but never saw one. The one that went by my place had me duckin fer cover, so I never saw it.

I've seen and been through enough of them....
1973 - took the roof of our house; 1975 - wiped out the corn field next to our new home and we had more corn in the yard than in the field; 1979 - One went down the runway next to my barracks; 1987 - had one in the rear view mirror for about 5 miles; and 2002 - One dropped down and tore the boat off the trailer that I was towing at the time. Watching them on TV is enough for me anymore! |

Stormy weather has always fascinated me - use to stand in the garage with the door up and watch the lightening. Since I'm a bit older I stopped that bad urge before it stopped me. My smarter half (wife) would make life uncomfortable for me LOL when I did it.
Ohio gets a very good number of tornadoes but mainly you never see them till they are on you. Nothing like on those shows "Storm Chasers" with video of the twister coming at them for miles. The ones here run on the ground less than a mile but leave one ugly trail. |
