Kick your steaks up a notch!!
for 3-4 steaks Combine.... 1/2 cup of Jack Daniels 1/4 cup of soy sauce 1/4 cup of Worcestershire sauce 1/4 cup of brown sugar 1/4 cup of vegetable oil juice from 1/2 lemon 1 tsp minced garlic Mix well and pour over steaks in a large plastic bag. Refrigerate for 1-3 hours GRILL AWAY!!!! A few grilling tips for steak..... 1. grill your steaks at room temperature...the meat is relaxed and will cook evenly. 2. sear them on a hot part of the fire and then slide over to a medium heat 3. only flip your steak once. You will know it is time to flip when "juice" starts pooling on top of the steak. 4. flip it onto the hot part of the fire to sear the other side...then move to medium heat. At this point, it is almost done. Here is a video I found on Youtube that will help you determine how "done" the steak is without cutting into it...losing all of the juice. JUICE = FLAVOR http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0y2aIAvK75g Once you remove the steak from the grill....let it rest for about 5 minutes before cutting into it. Ever cut into a steak and all of the juice spills out onto the plate? Just let it rest for a bit. ENJOY
