Got the mount from the Tom I took this past May. I think it came out awesome. The turkey has a 10" beard and 1 1/4" spurs, the head was freeze dried and painted. The thing I like best about the mount though was that it was done for me by my brother. Then when it came time for payment I was told it was my birthday present.

Thanks for your comments. I still can't believe the work my brother does. He's only been doing mounts for 4 yrs. One of these days he might have to take a class for taxidermy and do it for more than a hobby.
![]() Can't wait to see how his spring gobbler came out as it should be done drying. His Tom was a couple pounds heavier than mine and had about a 11" beard. I got him on the spurs though. All in all an awesome May, between him, my nephew and I we took 5 birds off the farm we hunt then headed up to NFLD for bear and just got those capes back from the tannery. |
