i boil mine too, but never used detergent, i must try that....after i am done boiling it, i put it in the oven on warm for a few hours to help dry it out...i usually use a powder peroxide mix to whiten it...which i still need to do on the hog.....when i was boiling this last hog head, i'm standing there gagging it was so rank, the neighbor guy asked my hubby what i was cooking because it always smells so good coming from my house and told him how he was a lucky man, lmao....it was so nasty, he didn't have the heart to tell him it was hog head.....

Dont ever do a fox skull in the house. I did when I was a kid and lived back home. Its a smell you will never forget!

Here is one i mounted on a chunk of cedar, i am working on some more will post pictures when done. I'm working on getting them whiter.
