Opener of dove season! I cannot wait! This year, I'll get ALL the excitement, and bad shots - "I told you not to use your crooked eye!" - on film.

If this heat keeps up, we should have a fantastic season!

So, what's new for this year? Well, Hoosiers must now purchase a game bird habitat stamp. Why? Because they discovered that 35000 hunters hunted doves last year. 35000 x $6.75 = a lot more money for DNR! Which in itself isn't bad, but it makes me wonder why they need the extra money so badly. Are they mismanaging they funds they do get?
