I have finnally decided on a new barrel for me. I am going to pick up the 7MM rem. mag. but I was wondering on if the Pro hunter barrels fit the standard encore frame. Anyone know? Anyone see a great difference in the accuracy with the extra barrel lenght for the pro hunter over the standard barrel for the Encore?

Yes, the Pro hunter barrels will fit the standard encore frames.
Last Fall I bought an Encore endeavour then added an .223 pro hunter barrel to the mix. Looking to add another high power barrel later this summer. Most likely an 30-06. Matt |

I have a number of 30'06's that are not TC's. So I was looking for a different cal. that I could use from Antelope to Elk and Moose primarily. I know my '06 will handle everything, but I was tossing back and forth betweem the 7 and the 300, but deciede I could load down the bullet weight for the 7 to give me a good smaller game long range gun. I thought it was interesting going thru my reloading manuals that the KE was greater for the 7 over the 300 at 400 yards using close to the same bullet weight and loads...
Thanks for the info on the Pro hunter and encore stuff. I was pretty sure this was the way it was but I wanted to hear it from another source.
