G5 Striker fly great out of my set up and they have the replaceable blades and they cut fast. I'll take three to designate as practice heads. If I want I'll replace the blades and go hunt with them.

I used the montecs last year and they worked great,this year I switched to the strikers because I don't have the patience to sit and resharpen them.

One of the nice things about Texas as in Hawaii--bow season all year long!!!! Deer in the fall, turkey in the spring, hogs, coyotes, bobcats, lions, all year long!!!!! Plus if you want exotics you have them all year long as well. And did ya know, Elk are an exotic here--open all year!!!!!

So... not only am I ready for the upcoming deer season, I'm always ready and bow season is 24/7 on hogs and exotics. I truly bow hunt year round and keep great meat in the freezer...ham steaks, breakfast sausage, pork chops...makes my mouth water thinking about it.

The season is going to start early for me this year. Going to Wyoming at the end of August for some speed goats. I can't wait!

I will probably be in the hospital giving birth to another little girl. I'm due September 10 and my other 2 were 12 and 9 days late. I am probably not going to get to go out much this year at least not in the early season.

Good luck! Our son was 3 weeks late and my wife's stretch marks had stretch marks. Finally had to induce.
