Default Cameras/Cold weather

Hey guys I was wondering what cameras you use in cold weather conditions ? I live in ND and we use Canon gl2s but they are very touchy in cold weather. We have lost several shots because it says its recording and nothing shows up.

Thank you and keep up the great show!

I'd be real worried about battery life in the cold weather. I wonder what performance you can expect when the weather is 10 degrees or colder. Also, moisture protection when you bring the cold equipment into the warmth at the end of the day. I would expect that moisture would build up inside the optics and the electronics. Ouch!

We never use the LCD monitor and the battery life is not a problem, somehow when the temps get below twenty the camear will blue screen on us and we will miss the footage. We use heat packs but sometimes that isn't enough.
