I getting some NAP broadheads for this upcoming archery season, which broadheads would be the best for a Hoyt Powerhawk set at a 27 inch draw and around 55#?

You are going to get a bunch of different answers.....so here is mine. HELLRAZORS BABY!!!!!
I was a Thunderhead guy for many many years with no reason to switch. I always told myself that if NAP ever came out with a 1-piece head, I'd buy it. They did....and I did ![]() I've killed 2 mature bucks and a caribou with my Hellrazors and I watched all three drop!!!! Here is a picture of what the Hellrazor did to the caribou's shoulder....(lots of little pieces!!!) The guide that boned out the 'bou back at camp didn't believe that an arrow did the damage.

I agree, for your setup Hellrazors are hard to beat. Razorcaps are also a great head, but not quite as tough as the hellrazors I shoot Spitfires and will probably shoot the Spitfire max this year out of my Katera. When I'm shooting my Gamemaster recurve Hellrazors and Razorcaps will get the nod

Hellrazors can be sharpened back up fairly easy after a few practice rounds on a foam target.
At 55# I would suggest you use a fixed blade cut on contact broadhead and that's the hellrazor. |
