Time for a new bow opinions needed

I just ordered a Hoyt Alpha Max a couple weeks ago and am really pumped to get it. I'm moving up from a Mathews Ignition that has served me well for the past three years. I understand about your draw length though and have the same problem as far as the small and local bow shops just don't stock those lower poundage bows for us girls. I spent an hour going back and forth between the Mathews DXT and the Alpha Max and decided on the AM for the simple fact of the way it felt to me. I LOVE the grip!! Another you may want to consider that I've been hearing a lot about is the Mathews Mennace. I think you can get the draw length down to like 17" and the draw weight goes up to like 52 or 55. Of course the max. weight depends on the draw length. I've heard it's a really good bow for women and youth. In the end, you have to go with what feels right to you. Hope this helps a bit.

I shot both the Hoyt Katera and Alphamax, at the eastern sports show I shot the Alphamax and it was not even set for my draw length and weight and I still loved it, If it is that good, then I think you should get the Alphamax.

i dont own the Alpha max but i shoot it a lot at the local bow shop. in a few months it will be mine... along with a ten point soon after

Changing the subject, but do you own the sport shop combo gas station in Kirkland Lake? We were there last year on our way to Mike's outfitters,and on our way home again. Nice store and everyone was helpful to us tourists in your town.
