When: Arrive afternoon of Aug 30. Hunt 8/31 - 9/5. Leave before 9am on Sept 6.

Cost: $1600
Deposit: $500 (the deposit is not in addition to the cost of the hunt)

Big Game License: $102
or
Archery License: $62

Bear Permit: $67

Archers only need an archery license and bear permit. If you will use a gun, even if you take your bow, you will need a big game license and bear permit.

This is going to be a fun hunt! AND we'll be there to see New England's FALL COLORS!! WOOHOOOO!!!!
Monie that time of the year should be a great time weather wise but the berries bushes will be some trouble if you're hunting over bait. The cost looks to me to be a good deal. The bears in the fall are tough to hunt but boy are they bigger and their coats look perfect compared to a rubbed out spring bear. I'm wondering if you're driving up there?

Well I called over there to arrange just that but Joe answered and he told me I would need to pay for them myself since I'm not a Posse member and all. So I went with option B and I'm gonna go down to the drunk tank and collect about 40 of them. I figure that'll save me a ton on red noses and since they'll all be stumbling and acting the fool anyway... Mo' Money.

Here's the web site for Oxbow Lodge and I have seen this outfitters web site before over on bowsite. Looks very enticing and I like the idea of driving although it's a haul up there and back from Ohio or Indiana. I'd join you on this if I wasn't just getting back from an antelope hunt at that time.

Please take lots of pictures and please do review so maybe we can do a group hunt there next year.
