Thanks guys!! I have to admit, I got a little emotional, especially when I picked up his head in the river!! I truly didn't think I would ever get one!
Our Guide, Terry Mangold, told me not to stop shooting until he stopped moving, so that's what I did!! Heck, that Icon 300Win Mag isn't so tough, well at least not when my adrenaline was pumping!! LOL
I do have to thank Ralph too!! He gave up his hunt so I could finally get my Alaskan bear!!
Thanks to Wade Renfro from Renfro's Alskan Adventures as well for helping us put that whole hunt together!! You rock!!

I liked what you guys did with the show - going thru all the previous hunts and showing how hard it was and I know in a half hour or really less you can't show how truely or real difficulty it was.

I have watched several brown bear hunts and I have noticed more than once the shooter puts more than one round down to put those giants down. Good shooting gal! Congrats on a great specimen.

Vicki are you going to do a full body mount on this one?


Now are you planning on going back up there for number two like Ralph was talking about or is he going alone? Is he going for it with a bow this time?

Ralph is going back up this fall with only his bow on a float trip for the bruin!! I will be hunting elk in Colorado while he is floating towards big brown bears!!!! I think maybe next year I'll try again with my Hoyt! Who knows!!

That was awesome to wach. You could really tell her emotions were so genuine. After the unsuccessful early trips her emotions came pouring out. Good for you. There are so many shows where that harvest an awesome animal and no emotion. Kind of weird. Way to go.
