Tree,
My youngun had problems with the PowerBelts out of his also. They were shooting all over the place until he dropped back to 2 50gr Pyrodex pellets. He was shooting the 295gr ones. Saboted bullets, so far, haven't done all that good for him, but that was while he was messing with 150gr of powder. Flint, I got to shoot a 700ML yesterday. Saboted 240gr XPTs weren't shooting very well from it. I was shooting 100grs of Pyrodex powder, not the pellets. Do you shoot the pellets from yours? This rifle uses caps, not 209 primers and I didn't know if the caps would ignite the pellets consistently.

I shoot 2/50 grain Pyrodex pellets (total of 100 gr.) I also use the Remington Kleenbore 209 muzzleloading primers.

I use sabot bullets. With my new scope I'll be trying a variety of bullets as each gun is finicky. My Rem 700 30.06 loves Hornady Light Magnum and Custom loads but strangely enough does not do well with any Remington ammo, go figure.

Tried to update but it would not take.
Anyway to add to above, I shoot the pellets only.

Look as if it is the X7 model is it?
I just got an T/C Encore Endeavor this season. I've been having luck with the 240gr. XTP and Triple 777 pellets. Great groups at 130 yards and 75 yards. Matt |
