NOT the rut..yet

At 6:25pm two big does, four little deer and about at the end of this little parade, a big body 6 pointer even wider than the one I got last week. Not a thick rack but nice.

Just as I was getting ready with the bow down the driveway comes my kid's buddy in his car. Off goes the buck before I had a chance to draw down on him.

Interesting to note the buck was feeding behind the does and they did not seem pushed by the buck. I figure in 10 days the rut will be on! Hopefully, this buck or his bigger brother will get in my way!

The rut is nice here, but we only have does on does action, yep no bucks here


Just kidding, we've had some good encounters lately. I been seening bucks moving well in the warm temps though. They are simply crusing their battle grounds.
