String loop prblems

I am having problems with my string loop after my neighbor dry fired my lazertech. The string came off the bow and I took it to my pro shop where they restrung the bow but now my string loop is facing backwaqrds how can I get it to face straight back again

Well there are a couple things you can do. You can leave it where it is . As long as everything lines up I wouldnt worry about it. ( Just my opinion) Or you can turn it by hand and it should settle in after awhile. Or you can retie the string loop.

bullmoose is right. Try shooting it as is. Sometimes the peep rotates where you need it even if the loop isn't facing the right way.

If that doesn't work and it's too tight to turn around, you will have to retie it which can be a pain, especially if you like it short like I do. If it's too short to retie, just put a new one on, and make sure to wax it first, otherwise it'll just slip off.

One thing I would have your shop check is the timing of your bow??

It might be facing the wrong way from not having enough twists in the string...

If it shoots ok and doesn't bother you leave it as is....

Twist it counter clock wise while holding onto the serving, till it's in the right place.

Then, tell you neighbor never touch your bow again

put it back in the press and put a half twist in it, should straighten back out. You can turn it by hand as long as your peep is facing the right way or if you turn the loop and the peep is backwards you will not be able to see through it. very common if string is taken off and put back on a half twist one way or the other.

After such abuse you might have a string problem making the loop to turn. I'd cut the old loop off and retie a new one. If it moves then again on you that might indicate your string is damaged beyond repair and you should get a new one.
