I want to get a zoom lens for my D40X and I'm not sure what to get.
My main question is whether the maximum aperture on the more affordable lenses (f4-5.6) will get the job done for misc scenery shots where low light won't be an issue the majority of the time…..or should I take a closer look at the expensive F2-2.8 lenses) I can get a 70-200 f4-5.6 for around $200 to $300 or a 70-200 f/2.8 for $800-$900 OUCH The f 2.8 would be nice….but is it needed???
