Sorry I'd shoot the 5X6 no problem and be proud of my bow kill bull elk. Any animal with a bow is true trophy and the waiting game played out like "what if I or what if that" does not put bone on the wall and meat in the freezer.

I'd say this is the way to go, but might hold off at least one more day.
