The Democrats are coming!

Well it is less than a week til my fair city will be over-run with the Dems. God help us.

If you ever were curious about Denver, here are some photos taken just down the street from my office. My building shows up on #7 I think.

Most of the shots are taken on the 16th Street Mall. It was a public road at one time, but in the 80's Denver decided 16th Street should be a foot mall, and closed it to vehicles. There are shuttles that run at regular intervals across the 16 block mall. There is a huge theatre, a Hard Rock Cafe, small shops peddaling over-priced trinkets, steet vendors, brewerys like the Wyncoop pictured here.

As much as I understand the need for the income this Convention will generate, the side-show freaks this thing is dragging out of the woodwork is really bothersome. Enough about them. I just ate.

There is talk that our building could be locked down for most of the week. Our parking area has been off limits all month. Those that have the ability to work from home, (Sadly I am not one of them), are encouraged to do so. It's a mess.

Anyway... these are pictures of my home town. Hope they are enjoyed, and I hope it still looks like this when things are done!

hey I heard the homeless people are getting free haircuts and baths to make the city look good!! I wonder if the Dems are gonna feed them lunch too!

Funny you mention that.

No to the haircuts and baths, but they are getting movie passes and things that will occupy their time somewhere other than in the full view of the people that they are supposedly represented by.

And Obama's brother lives in a hut-maybe he will get some movie passes too!!
