Earliest that I have seen them without their velvet has been the first week of Sept. around here, seems alittle early. Seen some on trail cameras last week that still had the black balls that indictcatied that they were still growing.

But he is from Florida and they are a little smaller down there...

No offense taken, lol.....but we do have a lot of good ones come out each year, so I'm Happy.....would be happier if they were 140'', but hey, you can't have everything, lol......
my guess was 3.5 on both of them.....maybe 2.5 for the one in velvet...
