The end of may into june was great this year but we had a bunch of snow that pushed everything back 2 weeks.Last year I was out baiting in april and it seemed like not much happened till the middle of may.My plan for next year is not to set up the baits till the second or third week of may.

Timba the outfitter i worked for set his baits out in january he fills the oat barrels and takes in a 25 gallon grease can with a lid on it once the snow is gone he checks the bait and will remove the lid on the grease can some times bears can be early risers and if the food is there they'll stick around rather than move on to find food else where.
