Aw, look at that little Calf! When we had cows we used to refer to the bulls as Bologna Bulls! Lol Had to sell all the cows off though, keep talking about getting another couple to rasie and fatten up for the freezer, although it's just as cheap to buy from the butcher at less then $2 bucks a pound.

Monie, did you check out that that place I PM'ed you? going to be going out that way next spring. boy wants to go and guessing the wife will go along also. she really enjoyed the bear being within 6 feet of us. from what the lady told me, the best time is either the 1st or 2nd week of june as they hunt higher than the place I've been going to. around 6000 feet. they like to be sure that the snow is gone(not this year)and that they can get to the hunting areas. haven't asked about the bugs yet!
yep, as soon as we figure out how to get the file size smaller from the new disc camera, will post the video. FYI: bears do NOT like the cicking noise a camera makes when the battery dies during filming. drawing on it when it made this funny little noise. needless to say, bears can move faster than I can draw. also, with all the problems we had at camp this spring, the outfitter made us all a deal you just can't pass up. another hunt for around a third of the normal price. talk about a murphys law hunt. so, being going back this fall after another i-de-ho bear.Timba, they are black angus. have one steer that will be ready this fall, and this one will/should be ready next fall. mmm, beef, its whats for dinner. OC, for us its cheaper this way since we can fatten them up at the farm. 80 acres just fertilized, so they have plenty to eat thru the spring, summer, and fall. also, we have a butcher here that does everything for around 33 cents a pound. wrapped and everything. last one was 750 lbs. for right around $250 dollars. from burger to t-bones. funny how I always get the burger and she gets the t-bones? ![]()
