Hunting License...

Do you think your resident hunting license is fairly priced? I hear people in my state PA saying ours are to much. For $20.00 you can shoot a buck, small game, spring and fall turkey. Thats just the basic license. It costs a little more for everything else. But if you hunt like I do it comes down to pennies a month. Everything costs a lot today but I still think our licenses are dirt cheap!

Here, and this isn't bad either, there's the hunting license for small game $17. A fishing license is also $17, so I get the combo hunting/fishing; it costs $25. Then there are stamps for game bird habitat $6.75, waterfowl $6.75 and trout/salmon $11. The tags are also additional. Spring turkey tag $25, fall turkey tag $25, each deer tag $24 (up to 6, I think), bonus antlerless deer tag first tag $24 then $15 after that. Finally, a trapping license runs $17.

The prices really aren't bad at all. They have gone up from last year, but I think they're pretty cheap compared to some states. The fact that you don't have to buy a hunting license before you buy a deer tag is a bonus.

Our antlerless tags are $6. I think thats really cheap!

I wish they would raise PA lic. fees...might keep some of the riff-raff at home

lets see, been a while since I bought just the hunting license, so have to tell about the combo license. $26 for the combo. that includes the habitat stamp I think. the deer tags are $15 for one gun tag, $30 for 2. archery tags are $26 for 2 tags. one either or, and one antlerless only. can shoot as many does as you want to pay for, and 2 bucks per season. standard license covers everything but deer, turkeys, and ducks. need other tags for them.

In Georgia, we don't buy individual tags for each deer.
The resident fees are:
Hunting $11 (I think)
Fishing $9
Hunt/fish combo $17
Big Game license with harvest record $9
WMA stamp $19
Primitive Weapons $9
Ga. Waterfowl $5
I forget the rest, but we also have a "Sportsman" license for $60 that covers EVERYTHING except the Federal Duck Stamp, which is $25.
