Any sugestions for a Caribou hunt in 2010?
This will be my first Caribou hunt and I do not have any idea how to pick an outfitter. Thanks, Rod |

To help make this a trip to remember (good memories)....you really need to save up a few extra bucks and go with an outfitter that has made a good name for themselves.
Mirage and Safari Nordik are two that come to mind. I hunted with Mirage in 2007 and it was simply amazing. I have not hunted with Safari......but I have not heard a single bad thing about them. They key is to pick an outfitter that will move you if the camp you are hunting out of is slooooow. You can arrive at a camp that is covered up in caribou....just to wake up the next morning with not a animal in sight. It happened to me. We were seeing hundreds of caribou every hour and on the fourth morning....it took all day just to see a dozen of them.
