I have a Sony Handicam that really does a great job for us. It's compact and lightweight, and we're generally happy with it.
Here's the problem: It records on a small cassette called a MiniDV. I can't for the life of me figure out how to convert the tape to a digital format for transfer to the internet. There is a special slot for a firewire cable to connect, but that will only really hook up to a DVR. Now if I go that far, I am back to square one because I would need to get it off the DVR and onto my pc. I'm losing valuable hair on this one... Any suggestions?

Check to see if your PC has an i.Link port/slot.
Thats where the firewire should plug into the PC. |

Thanks Tommse.
I was thinking about that and then it occurred to me that I might see Audio/Video tracking issues. Ever seen that before, and if so... any suggestions for solutions?

My cousin has a Sony handycam and the couple of times I have firewired the video to the computer I haven't had any audio sync problems.
