I wonder where that deformity came from?

Most likly a tumer or goider, can't spell, I have seen pics like this before.

I've seen pictures like that before and someone once mentioned that it could be from an injury that gotten infected?

On whitetail magazine show they had Dr. Dear talk about this sort of lump and I thought he said it's some what common and not any problem with meat. So shoot her and put her out of her misery.
