Just got off the phone with my outfitter and I have decided to add a muley tag to my elk hunt this Oct. Some relatives have asked just, what I'm going to do with all the meat from an elk let alone if I happen to get both,I simply say my Christmas shopping will be done early for a change.

Might as well get the most out of your trip! I've got a freezer that you could put some steaks in...

Best of luck to ya. Elk...that's a tough hunt. We hunt them in the National Forest. Depending on snow you might be hunting so high up birds are falling out of the sky!
That said I'll be looking for them again this year with the family. I can't help it. It's addicting no matter how bad it is for this flatlander's health!
