hey guys i was just wondering if anybody can tell me how good traditions side locks are. i went out and bought myself one and my girlfriend one too. do to the fact that no one can get any other companys here.

Can't tell you much other than I was handling one at Gander the other day and... well... let's just say Cheri has some competition now for my heart.
It tucked into my shoulder like it was meant to be there. As far as I'm concerned... you made a good purchase! I'll have one by the next loader season.

colorado rick. i know when i put up to my shoulder everything was lined up and that was with a right handed one two. i can't wait for my left handed one to come in.

I have an Traditions E-bolt and the thing is great. I've got it line in for 80 yards but have tried it out to 125 yards with only 2" of drop. I currently I shooting an 240 grain XTP Hornery slug with 90 grains of Pydrox pellets behind it or 100 grains with the same result nearly. Have killed 4 deer with it in the last 3 years.
I'll be most likely upgrading to an T/C Triumph later this summer. As it weighs less then the traditions now and feels great just like my old traditions did, everything lines up as soon as you put it on your shoulder. Matt |

My buddy just bought the CVA optimum pro from north pro sports,I shot it the other day and it was awesome.Its the first muzzle loader I have shot though so I can't compare it to anything else.
