Seeings as how LadyBowHunter was showing off those fantastically, succulent looking carp, I figured to pass along another recipe...
Get a good oak fire burning. Reduce to coals. Consuming a couple of beers helps the fire burn down faster. Get 1 carp for each guest. Give each guest a couple of beers. Marinate each carp in beer(the cheaper the better) Cover each carp well with the freshest cow pile you can find. Place covered carp on a cedar shingle and place in coals and cover. Let carp bake for 30 minutes. About the same amount of time to drink another beer or two. Remove from coals and let it rest for 10 minutes while sipping another brewski. Remove carp from poop shell carefully. Throw carp back in the fire! Eat the poop shell and blackened board (best served with large quanities of Ketchsup) Finish off the rest of the BEER!!!!!!!

Okay, so ya'll ain't that impressed with my Carp recipe ?
Fine! I'll go looking for the one for Slugs...I mean Escargot! Finding them little shells to shove the "snails'' back into can be a challenge though! "Snails" shouldn't be any problem. If I looked close enough tomorrow morning, I might be able to trail 1 or 2.

Hey, I've got PLENTY of slugs on my strawberries. Come and get 'em!
I loved that carp recipe. That's what I did last night...sans the carp...and the cow pattie...and the wood...well, and the fire too. Speaking of which, have you tried Sam Adams' Black Lager? Yummy!

Monie,
Except for a sip of wine on one of my anniversaries(20 years I think) and a swig of a Molsens Ale(because it smelled like cider) back in the early nineties, I've been dry since I was 17yrs old. I cook with alcohol and will put out a recipe once in a while where some might be involved, but that's where it ends for me. I'll let everybody else have whatever gets set aside for me. I'm a sweet tea kinda guy! Va Hunter
