The biggest factor is arrow weight IBO speed is an 350 grain arrow shot from a bow with 70# and 30" draw. While a hunting setup will never get the same speed as advertised by any manufacturer, you can use IBO speed to compare bows somewhat. But more important than speed is how the bow fits the shooter. My recomondation would be to shoot as many bows as you can and find the one you like and not get caught up on a number.
