If you're a meat hunter, shoot the button. If you're of the mindset that you don't want to shoot a button, because you want antlers, then don't shoot button or the young does either. Does provide 50% of the genes that produce huge antlers. Give the young does a chance to prove their worth. Unless, of course, your deer herd is WAY out of balance and you desparately need to take out the does, then, by all means, shoot the does.
