Be right up front with him. Yes he has to make a living as well, but he makes a bunch more on the things that go on a bow then he does with a bow itself. You got a deal on the bow with what sounds like a person who really needed the money. Good Carma there... pass it on and tell the story doesn't need to be totally known that it was an internet deal and buy the rest of the stuff from the local guy.
Not all Bass pros are created equally. All I'll say on that one. I do work enough shows at these location to see a difference in staff.
