Remember if you add stuff to the string you slow the speed of it and the energy goes down with it. Another thought is after shooting in your new string then you should be looking at silencing it. Your bow specs then should checked as well.
My .02 - Add an STS to it and leave the stuff off the string. The gap between the string and the rubber cushion should be at 1/8" or a little more than a Credit Card thickness.
