I was done by 6 a.m. this morning. I had 5 gobblers roosted last night. Went there this morning on the logging road they flew down to yesterday. I was hoping the longbeard would be the first one there. But a jake decided to so I took him. Only the second jake I ever shot. But it was memorable hunt the way everything happened. Plus it was the last day of my vacation. I wouldnt be able to hunt everyday like in the past when I was on 3rd shift. So I ended my vacation and 09 Pa season with a bang!
Had a decent week saw 35 gobblers total. By far my best season! Im lucky if I see 6 in a season.
I will get pics posted later. Well he weighed 15 lbs. and 8 oz. Thats a sign they had good food. It didnt hurt the farmer left all the corn standing this year either. Here is the pic.
