not that I advocate inflicting pain on idiots(yes I do)but the easiest way to stop this stuff is to put the cameras in secure metal boxes that are attached to either 6 or 9 volt batteries. won'r hurt too much when the metal box is touched, but the idiot will know they got zapped. and works for all kind of metal objects.
disclaimer: 12 volt batteries work even better.
