In the 25 years or so that I've reloaded, I've had only one failure. That one was a shotgun shell that fired but the base pulled off when trying to eject it. What kind of shells and rifle? It wasn't a Remington Auto was it? Those things need special dies to reload for them.

It was my ruger m77 30-06,it did it a few times years ago on me with the reload and never did with the new shells.I thought dad reused the casings to much and they got weak and expended or he loaded them to hot.
I try and keep all the shells now if in the future I start reloading them.
