I think it took about 4 hours to cut, cape, saw and get loaded and off riding. I shot it later in the day so we skinned the top side and took 2 qtrs off so it would cool. We went back to the spike...

We loaded up the pack horses and they did all the work!! There is no way that that hunt could be done there without the help of the horses. The moose was shot...

Yukon 2005 moose
I hunted with Dave Dickson in 2005... in seven days we saw over 20 mature bulls 50+ inches. Here is a picture of a bull I passed on [guessed at 53"] and then the bull that I collected to go over...
