Letting them get "this" close make for good footage but also makes the taxidermist cringe:D

Do you prefer the original head to work with or artificial ?

I stopped doing birds because I had more than enough deer to keep me busy.
But....when it comes to turkeys, use the real head and have it freeze dried. This is the only way to go.
