Doe whackage from past weekend...
I took Emily out for some doe overpopulation control this past weekend in West Texas for the final weekend. Sorry it couldnt have been sooner to help out the ladies team but it was the only time she didnt have drill team practice or church.
in less than an hour(and she was taking her time) she had 5 on the ground with 5 shots from her .243 with 90gr. balistic tips. Not one went over 20 yards. It was really hard waiting for a clear shot also. This is less than 1/3 of the deer we saw! The other 2 were about 50 yards away on another sendero. http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y15...ilyanddoes.jpg http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y15...d/deerroad.jpg http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y15...ilydoehunt.jpg |

Wow! Congrats to you and especially Emily! You've got to be very proud!
Have fun processing them!:D |
Great job! That’s so cool to see a father and daughter hunting together. I hope that when mine get older that they will want to go too. My 5yr old tells me she wants to shoot a mommy deer with an arrow, hope she keeps that thought:D.

Sounds like you're teaching her right!! :):):)
