Over and Underrated gear
 

Whats thee most over and under rated gear on the market?

I think the Thermacell is the most under rated piece of hunting equipment.

Overrated....Glendel Deer Target

If you are shooting just field points it will last forever.

Broadheads will destroy it.

I have mine mounted on a stand with wheels.

Underrated: I agree, the Thermacell is up there. Also, the G5 Arrow Squaring Device. I finally got one for Christmas. This is a fantastic tool!

Overrated: I can't think of anything at the moment, but in a nutshell, any piece of equipment that can't pull double duty. If it's a single use item I don't buy it. I like for my equipment to multitask.

I'm sure some of you are wondering how the ASD can pull double duty. For starters, not only does it square a cut arrow shaft, it will also square your insert. Not to mention it makes for a handy finger splint. lol :D

Overrated has to be the Antler Trap. I put it out and I have yet to have a deer come into it. And theres 50lbs of corn there too!

My hunting partner swears by the thermacell,the misquitos are unreal during spring bear and he said he could sit in his stand in a tee shirt and not be bothered at all by misquitos.I'm going to try one this spring.

We have his and hers Thermacells for the stands (there was a running argument and threats of divorce before we each got our own!!) and we also invested in the lantern -- wonderful when you are sitting on the bank of a pond fishing!!!

Under rated thermacell.

Over rated deer but core tool(dont know the real name). It make me laugh that some one could buy one.
