Ontario caribou
 

I've heard that the bull population has taken a dive in Ontario, some illness effecting the males only. I'm hoping to do a caribou hunt with some friends in a few years ( some of the ladies that were at the ladies hunt at Eagle Lakes '09). Vickie, do you have any suggestions for an outfitter that isn't too over the top pricewise? Thanks.

I'm assuming your talking about Quebec as we have no Caribou hunting in Ontario.

Hopfully someone can offer info for you about hunting there.

Huge caribou issues right now in Quebec....sounds like they are gonna' shut down hunting on one of the two herds. You might want to take a look at Alaska.

I guess I did mean Quebec. I was kinda hoping I wouldn't have to go as far as Alaska. But..... I've always want to go to Alaska and what better reason!!!

I'm quite sure there's still alot hunting going on in Quebec. The best thing you can do is find a well respected outfitter and you'll have no problems. The ACM have used some and have connections so hopefully they can point you in the direction of an outfitter to discuss the hunting options.
