calls and scents
 

just curious. Whats everyones favorite deer calls they use and favorite scents. Do you use different calls and scents at diferent times of the season etc. Also do you use decoys and what decoys do you use?

I don't know that I have a favorite, but I do use the can with a grunt tube and during the rut I'll throw in the Buck Growl with a snort wheeze.

I use the primos can call, and the flextone Buck Collector with Snort wheeze and I also use tinks #69 Buck Bomb and of course rattling horns. thats my favorite set up:)

Has anyone used that new Knight and Hale rattle system. I like that it is so compact. i like to fit everything in my pockets in the stand. Dont like taking a pack.

the last week of october and on, im definately packing my rattlin horns. My choice for grunt call is the Knight & Hale E-Z Grunter Plus, But there are alot of good ones. I like using code blue or Tinks for scents.

As far as the new Knight&Hale Rattle System goes, i dont thing it is loud enough but some people prefer that.

I carry one of the "cans" and an older grunt call. Rattling doesn't seem to do much good where I hunt.

I use a real set of antlers to rattle in Indiana.

Snort wheeze and small grunts to get something walking my way.

No scent... None!!!

I carry a can call, the buck roar, which is the best grunt call i've found the snort wheeze is great:D and a set of real rattling antlers, you cant scrape on a tree with a rattle bag.:rolleyes: I'm ussually scent free, maybe some doe in heat during the rut.

Border crossing scents deer herd in a stick works for me and I use the Illusion deer call. It makes all the calls very easily and is very real sounding. I have called in several deer last season and this season with it. Rattling well I don't have any luck with them. :confused:
