Archery antelope is a blast
 

I travelled to Wyoming last September for an archery antelope hunt. That was more fun than putting socks on a wet rooster; here's the result of that hunt.

Antelope hunting has been my favorite of all animals I've hunted (moose are right up there, too), although my several previous sojourns for them were all with rifle. This is a hunt that I'd encourage everyone to experience at least once. Come to think of it, you probably couldn't stop after the first time.:)

Canuck, you betcha! Goat hunting sure is fun! It can be frustrating too. Especially, if you're sitting for hours upon hours in a sweltering blind. Whew!

Monie, I tried the blind thing to start with, but the weather was unseasonably wet and the goats had no need to hit water holes. It quickly turned into a spot and stalk, which was a real challenge but so much fun.

I was watching Fred Eichler the other day. He had a similar situation, with unseasonable wet weather. He managed to stalk a goat and make the shot. Afterward, he was a man posessed!! I LOVE watching him when he bags an animal! He is an absolute hoot! He acts like a kid hopped up on a 5lb bag of sugar!! :D:D:D:D

Archery antelope is definately one of my favorite hunts every year. Nothing like crawling through the cactus and rattlesnakes to try to stick a speedgoat!:D Man is it Sept yet, there was a lot of nice goats that made it through last year just waiting for me.:cool:

I tried the spot and stalk on the speedster in 2007 when I hunted with Fred Eichler's outfit in S.E. Colorado because of the monsoon hit. No place to hide from them other than to crawl through a half mile of castus. Did I say I hate cactus. I'm going back out in August to give it the Ole college retry, I want one of those on my wall and in my belly! LOL
