I don't know if you'll remember this or not, but we met at Madison last year, and we talked about bear hunting. I told you that I didn't know when I would be comfortable (Translated to less scared) enough to try bear hunting. I said something like"....when the game can climb the tree to come after you........."and you told me that rarely happens and how much fun it is.
Well, I'm seriously looking at and 95% set on hunting bears with Monie this fall!!!!! I thought alot over the last year on some of the things you said to me.

lbh, you have never felt a rush like you will when you see a bear. trust me when I say, its not that scary. especially if you're in a treestand. best advice I can give you is this. carry a stick or two. if need be, snap them and the bear WILL take off. this will give you the time to get down and get out if necessary. and posted these before, but this is what you have to look forward to. only hopefully, bigger.

YOU WILL BE HOOKED, this is such a rush that you'll be scheduling a return hunt before you leave. No Goof!

I decided last year when I turned ** (Nevermid the real age), I was gonna hunt at least 1 new animal each year if I could. So I actually did 2 last year, hogs and started bowfishing and shooting carp.
This year BEAR!!!!

Gonna do it!!! I committed myself!!!! now I'm getting excited about getting ready for it.

You will love it!!!! Practice on a 3D bear if you can. It helped me alot!!!

Thanks for the tip. Do you shoot and hit tight behind the shoulder like a deer? (We'll be using bows) Any other tips for us?
