Powder Load question
 

I have the 1st generation Rem 700ML and I got the conversion kit so I could use #209 primers.

Now I see the Nikon BDC scope that would be great due to the reticle markings for 100-250 yard shots using a 250 gr. bullet with 150 grains of powder behind it.

HOWEVER, in looking at the Remington ML manual it shows to load to only 120 Grain Pyrodex Pellets. I see I can now buy Pyrodex in 60 grain loads which helps.

So, will using the 120 grain load really impact using the Nikon BDC as they were very specific about sighting in at 100 yards using 150gr power/250 gr bullet combo ???

Thanks, I posted this question elswhere (the power of forums!) I got a tip from another person and I will NOT get the Nikon. Ceck out the features of this scope that I was unaware of!!!

You can dial it in based on the load you use!!!! Not locked into one load as per Nikon!

Great. For some reason I was unaware of it but the power of forums are great. Had I not asked around I may not have know about it. A poster elsewhere also recommended their QR (quick release) rings from Leupold. Easier to clean the gun and I could revert to iron sights if there is a state that does not allow scopes (fewer of those rules out there I hope)
